Hitting way above its weight class | Sanlida Miracle Bow Review

Let’s face it, archery is not the cheapest sport to get into specially if you want to compete at a high level. Not all us are blessed with sponsorship or deep pockets so archers often try to find the best bang for your buck gear. The Sanlida Miracle is definitely one of those bang for your buck pieces of gear intermediate to advanced archers should consider. Or even beginners who want a bow that will last them their whole journey.

The Miracle is a CNC machined Aluminum 25 inch ILF riser from Chinese brand Sanlida. It has a very nice, cleanly done anodized finish on its uniquely textured surface. Like the machine equivalent of fingerprints. These combined with its angular shapes and lines give this bow a premium look and feel. If the Hoyt GMX had a child with the Fivics Titan, this is what you would get.

The bow uses opposing set screws for limb alignment making it easy to adjust. The limb pocket itself features a groove system that encompasses the limb dovetail insuring it won’t slip off even when stringing the bow by hand. It is similar to the dovetail slots found in higher end bows like the WnW TFT and Nano Max if I’m not mistaken. Everywhere you look at this bow, you see premium all over. The grip is a wood high grip similarly shaped the GMX grips of the past. It also has a shim system you can used to ship the bow grip left or right depending on your form and style. This feature is rarely seen even among higher level bows. Even the limb bolts look premium on this bow.

Made of 6061-T6 Aluminum, the Sanlida Miracle weighs 1290 g. Not too heavy by recurve bow standards but not light either. Young kids might find it too heavy at the start. Drawing the bow back feels solid and without the characteristic flex I have grown familiar with on a lot of the Chinese bows. When you draw back the bow, you know it can handle high speed, high poundage limbs. This feels like a high-end bow all the way. The grip is nice and comfortable and has just the right thickness in my opinion. Setting up and tuning the bow is as straight forward as most modern ILF bows. Out of the box, the limb alignment is pretty bang on. An interesting feature on the bow is the ability to move the grip position horizontally. It’s not a common feature but I do like it. I ended up using the stock setting, but I can imagine some shooters out there loving this feature. Another level of customization to the most personalized part of the bow.

This riser really shines when you pair it with faster foam or carbon limbs to take advantage of its rigid frame. You can snap on the fastest, most expensive limbs you can afford on this riser and it will perform just as well as a more expensive, high-end riser. Using the Miracle with entry level wood/glass limbs, it feels hefty and solid. Like it wants to stay in your hand. IT feels come and subdued. It takes on a new life and persona when you put-on high-end limbs or faster limbs. The bow feels snappy and aggressive. Like it wants to shoot. Vibrations are clean. No buzzing nor rattling anywhere in the bow. Shots felt good. They felt similar to shooting the GMX with slightly less feedback. The sound of the bow and the vibrations were closer to the Fivics Titan. Not the Ex. The Older Titan. The kind of feedback and feel you get from the Miracle are closer to what you would expect on high end bows that you completely forget how well priced it is. It’s the kind of bow that you would feel confident and comfortable using in any level of competition.

So, who exactly is the Miracle for? I think it is for the serious archers who want the best they can get on a low to mid budget. For the beginner or intermediate self-funded archer who wants to setup his “final” riser. It costs more than a WNS Motive but less than a Vantage AX but outshines them in more ways than one. Archers who want to invest more heavily on the limbs will benefit greatly from this bow. You can go crazy with the limbs and still get top tier performance out of them with this riser. In PC Gaming terms, the Sanilda Miracle is like the Ryzen 3 3300x or maybe even the older K series i5 processors. Relatively reasonably priced yet powerful enough not to cause any bottle necks when paired with high end video cards. It is a solid platform to build your "final" rig around. The Sanlida Miracle is a bow hitting way above its weight class.
