Kinetic Carbon Adeo bow review | The Stealth Fighter

Look up images of the Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk Stealth fighter jet. Then take a look at the Kinetic Carbon Adeo. Reminiscent are they not? The first time I saw this bow, memories of watching documentaries on fighter planes when I was in grade school came up.

The Adeo is a 25-inch ILF riser by Kinetic. Made of Royal Cross Carbon and UD Carbon by no less than Win and Win. You basically get a high-quality Win and Win carbon bow at a fraction of the cost. Everything on the Adeo from the hardware, the grip and geometry screams Win and Win. Like all most modern ILF bows, the Adeo has tiller adjustment bolts, lateral limb alignment via big opposing set screws, which I love, and the standard mounts for the clicker, sights, top, middle, and bottom stabilizers. It has identical tiller bolts, set screws and clicker plate extension as many Win and Win bows so I would expect you can swap hardware if needed. The rubberized grip is also the same with a lot of WnW bows. This is without a doubt a premium bow at a very reasonable price.

The Carbon Adeo is slick and slim unlike some carbon bows at this price point. Even some more expensive carbon bows are beefier. It very much like the Win and Win RCX but with nice cut outs. Something rare for carbon risers at this price point. The flawless matt carbon finish with grey decals look superb. I could not find a single defect or chip. Being a carbon bow, it is not flashy. What it is however is a stealthy bow that won’t stand out in a crowd, but once you do notice it, you will not be able to take your eyes off it. The epitome of cool. Paired with the Kinetic Honoric UD Carbon Limbs, and you can take the cool factor all the way to 11. Matt black riser with Glossy black limbs. Just perfect.

Bang for your buck doesn’t only mean looks for this bow. Performance is key and the Adeo with the Honoric Limbs make for a winning combination. The Adeo is light. Lighter than most Carbon Risers I have tried. This is great particularly for Olympic Recurve shooters who want control over how the bow will balance and behave. I’d love to set this up with a ton of weights just on the stabilizers to see how it would feel. The Adeo is stiff. Noticeably stiff. What you feel on its mid-height WnW grip is a solid connection between bow and archer wherein whatever energy built up and stored after drawing the bow back, will transfer efficiently to the arrow. The draw cycle with the Adeo and Honoric combo if probably unlike any setup at this price range. They feel exactly like an RCX Riser with Winex limbs combo. Incredible considering the Adeo rig is half the price of the RCX/Winex setup. The draw cycle is super smooth with barely any stacking. The shot itself is quick and the arrows seem to fly really fast. Recovery is excellent as well. Feedback is extremely muted as I would expect from carbon risers with carbon limbs. This is ideal for archers who prefer a calmer shot. Shooters who like the “dead in the hand” feel will love this bow. The biggest thing about this bow that caught my attention was the sound or lack thereof. This bow really is stealthy. I have a butt load of dampers and weights on my bow to make it as quiet as it is now. I also spent a significant about of time tuning to get everything right. The Adeo on the other hand, I slapped on a basic stabilizer set, set the tiller, draw length, center shot and plunger tension and poof.. almost perfectly tuned. I didn’t even have to touch the alignment because it was already bang on out of the box. Amazing!

The Kinetic Carbon Adeo is a great bow. A tremendous price to performance value. It is not cheap but the value you are getting is at least twice what you pay for. A solid, smooth, fast bow. It feels great to shoot and it gentle on the arms. The bow's light weight and balance make it feel easy to control. At this price point, I think the Carbon Adeo is hard to beat. Great looks, good speed and performance and a value preposition that is almost impossible to beat. Simply a joy to shoot for pleasure or competition. This stealth fighter of a bow get 2 thumbs up in my book.
